Unicorn Monkey Bread Recipe
This easy recipe takes just a few simple steps and is perfect for grabbing and eating. I love a good recipe that is meant to be eaten with your hands! The cheese and powdered sugar topping is literally the icing on the cake! Just be certain that you beat the cream cheese and mix the powdered sugar until smooth!
My boys absolutely love it when I make monkey bread, and to be honest, it's one of my favorite bread recipes to do. It's just fun to add the dough balls into the bundt pan and then see them cook and expand to fill it up! Then once you add the melted butter mixture, you're literally almost ready to start eating!
Why is it called monkey bread?
It's a funny name because it's named after what monkeys do – pick! So as you're picking off pieces of these layered dough balls, you can really feel like a monkey at the same time!

How do you store leftover monkey bread?
All you need to do is make certain that you take it out of the bundt pan then pour any of the remaining goodness to be certain that you have it all. Then just have it in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge until later.

Ingredients
- 2 16oz cans of homestyle biscuits
- 3/4 C unsalted sweet cream butter
- 1 1/4 C sugar
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon extract
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 tbsp. milk, plus extra if needed
- 1/2 C powdered sugar
- 12 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 C bright colorful funfetti sprinkles
- 1 piping bag with round tip
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray the bundt pan with non stick spray.
Put the biscuits on a cutting board and cut them into quarters.
Put them in a bowl and sprinkle with 1 cup of the sprinkles.
Toss until covered.
Roll the biscuit pieces into a ball.
Melt butter and add in the sugar and vanilla.
Put the dough ball layer in the bundt pan and pour over 1/3 of the butter mixture.
Repeat with more layers until filled.
Put in the oven and bake for up to 35 minutes.
Covered with foil if the top is browning too quickly. The sugar needs to melt all the way.
To make the cream cheese glaze, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
Mix in the vanilla and milk.
Put the mixture into a piping bag.
Take the bread out of the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Then turn it over onto a serving tray.
Pipe the cream cheese mixture and add more sprinkles.
